Uruguay destinations:

Montevideo
The capital of Uruguay, Montevideo is strategically located in the estuary of the River Plate, leading to the South Atlantic Ocean. Its main promenade stretches for more than 20 Km edging the sea and beaches. It has a very definite European flair, with many parks and public gardens. The city offers many options for dining, nightlife, culture, and shopping.
Punta del Este
Punta del Este is the #1 tourist spot in Uruguay, with a vibrant nightlife, and plenty of nightclubs, restaurants, theaters, and casinos. Marking the border between Rio de Plata and the Atlantic Ocean, it also offers a variety of beaches, great seafood and a plethora of water sports and activities. You can also take a break and relax in the vast woodlands, gardens, and forests which border Punta del Este on the west.
Colonia
Founded in 1680 by the Portuguese Manoel Lobo, Colonia occupied a strategic position and its importance was as a source of contraband, undercutting Spain's jealously defended mercantile trade monopoly. British goods made their way from Colonia into Buenos Aires and the interior through surreptitious exchange with the Portuguese in the Parana delta; for this reason, Spanish forces intermittently besieged Portugal's riverside outpost for decades.
